Our Opal Collection uses genuine simulated opals. A simulated opal is grown in a lab under the same conditions as naturally occurring opals. 

Environmentally speaking, we love that creating these opals leaves behind less pollution and doesn't use up all our natural resources the way mining for natural opals does. They are also more affordable and more durable. Win win!
